NFA's own Candace Kant re-elected to AAUP national council

Congratulations to our colleague and good friend Candace Kant of CSN who has been re-elected to the AAUP National Council as the representative for District 1 (the western region). Candace is also currently adding to her long list of contributions to the NFA by serving as our "senior advisor" for the current membership campaign.

Which gives me an opportunity to remind all UNLV faculty members who might be reading this, whether currently NFA members or not, that the spring general meeting for the UNLV chapter will be held next Wednesday, April 29, at 1pm in the Law School (room 112). Light refreshments will be served, there'll be an update on our legislative efforts and a discussion of the progress of our membership campaign -- and finally nominations and elections for our chapter board. (Only members in good standing by April 28 will be eligible to nominate, vote or be elected to the board).
