Speaker Buckley: Further cuts to higher education should be avoided

In a letter to the Governor, Speaker Buckley states it plainly: "Further cuts to higher education should be avoided ..."and if necessary, should be considered "only as a LAST resort." She also points out that budget cuts in the middle of the university year would be a "brutal exercise."
