This is the first skirmish in what is going to be a titanic battle to save public services, including higher education, in Nevada in 2011. Everyone can see the train coming but to this point we've seen almost no one suggesting any plans for how to divert it. In fact most of the public conversation this far has simply looked the other way. Where are the plans to save higher education and those who devote their careers to delivering it?
