I was going to post a short note about how even amidst upheaval at the top of the administration, the important daily work of the university is done by its heart, the faculty, with the same commitment, conscientiousness and devotion to our students, our research and community.
But I thought nothing could illustrate that point more clearly than to link to the brief story in today's Sun highlighting the work of our colleague and NFA member Joanne Goodwin, whose commitment, conscientiousness and devotion was able to garner awards and outside grants for the Women's Research Institute even as state funding evaporated. Congratulations Joanne; you're a model for us all in hard times.
