Special Board of Regents meeting Tues Feb 2 to discuss budget crisis

The Board of Regents will hold a special meeting this Tuesday, February 2, at 9am at the West Charleston campus of the College of Southern Nevada (Building D, Room 101).

Faculty are encouraged to attend to hear discussion of specific measures that may be implemented later this spring.

The Board may consider ways to reduce personnel costs which may require modifications to policies, including, but not limited to, additional furloughs, pay reductions, hiring freezes, notices of non-reappointment or termination, program or unit closures and/or organizational restructuring. The Board may discuss the requirements of declaring a financial exigency and/or changing the requirements of the process required for declaring a financial exigency.
